Hello!

Prepositions in English can sometimes be a little bit tricky, and they are certainly one of the most common mistakes students make. This is why I thought it would be a good idea for you to practise some exercises focusing on this aspect :)

Here is a list of the most common prepositions in English:

I have split the exercises into two levels: intermediate and advanced. You can check the correct answers on each page to see your progress. I hope you find these exercises useful. Good luck!

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL

Specific Prepositions (At, By, For, In, Into, Of, Off, On, Out (of), To, Under, With)

Specific Prepositions (About, Above, On, On to, Over, Up)

Specific Prepositions (In, Out of, To, Under, With)

ADVANCED LEVEL

Specific Prepositions (about, as, by, for, in, of, on, to, up, with)

Specific Prepositions (at, by, for, in, on, out)

In addition to this type of exercise, if you wish to improve your knowledge of prepositions, the best advice I can give you is to try and read as much as possible! The more you read in English, the more familiar you will become with the language and how (and when) you need to use these prepositions.

Hope you have a lovely day!

Best wishes,

Carla
